Sacred & Seen

Where Stories Meet, Identities Connect, and Every Voice is Sacred.

Anxiety and I go way back. It has a way of planting seeds of fear about things that haven’t even happened yet. In my mind, the possibilities often feel unfavorable—rejection, embarrassment, shame, loss, abandonment, loneliness… the list can feel endless.

For years, I let these “what ifs” dictate my choices. I hesitated. I overthought. I shrank. I said “yes” when my soul was screaming “no.” I stayed stuck in cycles that felt safe—but stagnant.

Yet over time, I’ve learned something powerful: I have the ability to shift my thinking.

What if the very thing I fear is the doorway to my greatest desire? What if everything on the other side of that fear is exactly what I’ve been called to experience—love, growth, purpose, joy?

⚡️ MOVE FROM POWER, NOT FEAR ⚡️

Fear will have you shrinking. It will keep you small, quiet, and cautious. It whispers: “You’re not ready. You’re not worthy. Your dream is too much.” But power—real, rooted, aligned power—moves differently.

Power will have you saying:
“I may be scared, but I’m still choosing me.”

When you move from power:

  • You align with your purpose.
  • You take action even when the outcome is uncertain.
  • You trust that your vision isn’t random—it’s divine.
  • You honor your desires and step fully into your calling.

Before making a choice, ask yourself:
“Is this fear… or is this freedom?”
“Am I protecting myself… or holding myself back?”

Fear can protect—but it can also limit. Power pushes, expands, and transforms. Your desires were planted in you for a reason. They are not mistakes. They are not too big. They are calling you forward.

So today, make this choice: move from power.
Move like your life is waiting for you on the other side—because it is. 💥

Even if your heart races. Even if your mind screams. Even if uncertainty lingers. Step forward anyway. Because courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s choosing yourself despite it.

Your dream is not a fantasy. It’s your calling. Move toward it with power, not fear.

Reflection Exercise: Moving From Power, Not Fear ⚡️

Set aside 10–15 minutes to connect with yourself and explore where fear or power is showing up in your life.

1. Ground Yourself

  • Sit comfortably and close your eyes.
  • Take three deep, conscious breaths, feeling your body anchored in the present.

2. Identify Fear

  • Think of a decision, action, or situation where anxiety or hesitation is present.
  • Ask yourself: “What am I afraid of? What stories is fear telling me?”
  • Write down everything that comes up without judgment.

3. Recognize Power

  • Now, ask yourself: “What would it look like to act from power here? What choice honors my vision and purpose?”
  • Write down any thoughts, actions, or feelings that arise when you imagine stepping forward confidently.

4. Shift Your Lens

  • Compare the fear-based response with the power-based response.
  • Ask: “Is this protecting me… or holding me back?”
  • Reflect on how choosing power would change your emotional state, energy, or life path.

5. Take One Intentional Step

  • Choose one small, concrete action that moves you toward your desire with courage and alignment.
  • Example: sending an email, having a difficult conversation, or starting a new habit.

6. Close With Affirmation

  • Finish with a personal affirmation:
    • “I may be scared, but I choose me.”
    • “I step forward with courage and alignment.”
    • “Fear does not control my path; power guides me.”

Tip: Revisit this exercise whenever fear creeps in or indecision arises. Over time, consistently choosing power over fear strengthens confidence, clarity, and alignment with your calling.
